TIE (Typing Interface Engine) Bombers are one of the few-non gramma radiation technologies still employed. Instead an ion engine which is augmented by the pilot's ability to type rapidly and accurately, which explains why Bombers have such crappy acceleration.

Training

Most training programs utilize Mario Teaches Typing as it is a fun and useful program for bettering a young pilot's typing skills! If pilots become competent, they are promoted to fighters or interceptors; only those who fail the class are bombers.

Weaponry

TIE Bombers bombrd there targets with typos, which wrek devestaton, espcially on Spelling Freaks. However, these devices can readily be countered with spell checkers, dictionaries, or a third grade education.
